Austin Based Group Wins First SXSW Music Hackathon

When it comes to innovation in music, of course Austin is going to pull ahead.

At South by Southwest Interactive this year, 100 different programmers and other tech professionals came together to not only showcase new technology, but to create it as well.

Teams from around the world has 24-hours to create a new, innovative application, centered around music, in the first annual AT&T U-Verse sponsored "Hackathon". Thirty-one different projects were presented at the following awards banquet and concert. In the end, it was three hometown boys, dubbed Team Moot, that walked away with $100,000 and more. Their application, which allows users to loop in audio over previously recorded tracks.
